ANGOLA, Ind. (AP) — A judge has sentenced a northeastern
Indiana teenager to 15 years in prison in connection with the slaying of
a Muncie man.
Nineteen-year-old Tyler Lee Biggs of Fremont also
received 10 years of suspended sentence and five years on probation
Tuesday after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit murder for the
July 7 death of 29-year-old Ruben Sanchez Jr. at Jimmerson Lake.
Prosecutors dropped a murder charge in a plea deal.
Biggs admitted
providing the gun that 28-year old Mark Hines of Jimmerson Lake used to
shoot and kill Sanchez. Hines pleaded guilty to murder and was
sentenced in November to 45 years in prison.
Court documents say the shooting occurred during a fight between Sanchez and Hines during a long weekend
of partying.
