DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A teen accused of fatally shooting a
75-year-old woman at a Dayton bus stop has been convicted of aggravated
murder.
The body of Take (tahk) Gangloff was found on a sidewalk
near a bus stop with a gunshot wound to the head in September 2013.
Authorities said they thought Gangloff was waiting for a bus and the
teen shot her while attempting to rob her.
The Montgomery County’s prosecutor’s office says the 17-year-old male pleaded guilty Tuesday in adult
court in the slaying.
The teen’s attorney didn’t immediately return a call seeking comment Wednesday.
Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr. says he will ask for the maximum sentence.
A prosecutor’s spokesman says the teen could get up to life in prison without parole at his sentencing
set for July 15.
