HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — A southwestern Ohio city is
planning to pay $700,000 for a huge digital billboard visible to
motorists on Interstate 70.
Officials in the Dayton suburb of
Huber Heights say naming rights for city-owned facilities and
advertisements eventually will pay for the 65-foot-high sign just west
of a new $18 million music center.

reports that the city will pay about $50,000 a year for 20 years to
finance the project. The public will have a chance to weigh in when the
legislation has a first reading at Monday night’s city council meeting.
An
advertising company would manage and help build the city-owned sign in
exchange for permission to build its own sign elsewhere in the city of
about 40,000 people north of Dayton.
