MOUNT BLANCHARD, Ohio (AP) — A northwest Ohio sheriff’s office is investigating a teacher’s disciplining
of a kindergartner after the incident was caught on a surveillance camera.
Riverdale Local Schools has suspended the teacher for 10 days after the video was made public last week.

WTOL-TV of Toledo reported Thursday (http://bit.ly/1jPanSq ) that a sheriff’s deputy visited the boy’s
father a day earlier and has opened an investigation.
The sheriff’s office says it could be next week before their investigation is complete and provided to
the Hancock County prosecutor.
School superintendent Eric Hoffman tells the station he has apologized to the parents and called the
incident unfortunate.
The camera captures the teacher pushing the boy up against a wall and grabbing him by the face and shirt.
