COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police say a woman shot by her estranged husband in the parking lot of a Mormon Temple in Columbus six weeks ago has died.
Columbus police say 33-year-old Soth Sin died Wednesday evening. She had been hospitalized since Feb. 26.
Authorities say Sin's 65-year-old husband Sokkha Chant shot her after forcing a car carrying her and another man into the temple parking lot. Investigators say Chant was facing a domestic violence charge at the time.
Police say Chant shot Sin while the other man fled, then shot himself. He remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Chant was already charged with felonious assault. Additional were not immediately filed due to his condition.
