HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — An Ohio woman faces charges in West Virginia of embezzling more than $150,000 from her former employer.

West Virginia State Police tell media outlets that 50-year-old Connie Lynn Whitley of Proctorville, Ohio, is charged with felony embezzlement.

Whitley is accused of taking the money while working as a bookkeeper for Uptowner Inn Inc. The company owns several hotels and apartments in West Virginia.

State police say Whitley wrote 191 checks to herself from five different accounts.
