COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police in central Ohio say have
cracked the case of a valuable Victorian English bulldog puppy that was
swiped from a pet store and peddled via social media.
Columbus
police said two female suspects were captured on surveillance video
stealing the puppy — valued at more than $3,400 — from a Petland store
in northwest Columbus on Jan. 3. Afterward, police said, a male suspect
posted pictures of the puppy on social media websites trying to sell it.
Two
days after the heist, Detectives identified the male who had sold the
puppy via social media, recovered the pup and returned it to the pet
store.
Charges against the suspects are forthcoming. They weren’t identified.
