Ohio McDonald's worker shot taking out trash

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Police say a McDonald's restaurant employee in Akron was fatally shot while taking out the trash.

Akron police say it happened at about 11 p.m. Saturday when the 28-year-old employee was confronted by a suspect near the back door of the restaurant.

The victim was shot several times and died later at an Akron hospital. His name hasn't been released.

There have been no arrests. Police say the suspect was 22 to 27 years old and was driving a dark-colored SUV with tinted windows.
