ATHENS, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio man has died after his motorcycle crashed with a van on a road in Athens
County.
The
State Highway Patrol says 54-year-old Mike Lewis Thomas, of Athens, was
driving the motorcycle north on Stage Coach Road on Saturday when the
bike crossed the center line and hit the oncoming van. The agency says
Thomas was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
An
agency news release says Thomas was not wearing a helmet. The Highway
Patrol also says investigators don’t suspect alcohol was a factor in the
crash.
The driver of the van was not injured.
