CINCINNATI (AP) — A southwestern Ohio lawmaker charged with
misleading investors about a company’s financial status and using their
money for personal gain is set for a court hearing on Monday.
Rep. Pete Beck is scheduled for a plea or trial setting in Hamilton County court.
If he doesn’t change his not guilty plea to the charges against him, then the judge could set his trial
date.
Beck has been set for similar hearings in the past but they’ve been postponed.
Beck pleaded not guilty in July to 16 felony counts.
Beck has denied the allegations and brushed away calls that he resign.
