NORWALK, Ohio (AP) — A man who was driving drunk when he
caused a fiery crash that killed a 36-year-old woman last year has been
sentenced to 15 years in prison in northern Ohio.
Twenty-four-year-old
Morgan Jevec of Massillon was sentenced this week for
the September crash that killed Tracy Albright of Bellevue and injured
her two passengers.
Jevec pleaded guilty last month to aggravated
vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault and other charges as
part of the plea agreement.
Huron County Common Pleas Judge James
Conway also gave Jevec a lifetime driver’s license suspension and
ordered him to pay $1.3 million in medical bills for the passengers in
his car who were injured.
Prosecutors said Jevec’s blood alcohol
content was 0.136 percent at the time of the crash. The legal limit in
Ohio is 0.08 percent.
