COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles hasdecided to back off plans to comply
with federal driver’s license rulesbecause of privacy concerns.The Columbus Dispatch (http://bit.ly/18Ie6xO ) reports that the state scuttled
plans to comply with the Real ID planapproved by the federal Department of Homeland Security.OhioDepartment
of Public Safety spokesman Joe Andrews said state officialsbalked at the "one driver-one license"
rule and at being required tostore and share copies of personal documents, such as birthcertificates.Ohio is
among a growing number of states that arerefusing to comply with the standards. It could result in Ohio
driver’slicenses not being accepted to board airplanes and enter federalbuildings.The newspaper said the
