Ohio AG gives job creation compliance mixed grade

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Ohio Attorney General says justover half of companies receiving state
economic development awards lastyear were fully compliant with the requirements of those awards, such asjob
creation or retention.The report by Attorney General MikeDeWine is an annual study required by lawmakers to
gauge the outcomewhen companies receive grants and other awards.DeWine’s studyreleased Thursday found that
of the 266 awards with a performancerequirement in 2012, 120 or about 45 percent were not
compliant.Awardsissued by the Ohio Department Services Agency fall into four maincategories: workforce
