COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Developers are ready to provide a peek on Monday at the new Hollywood Casino Columbus, which will offer gambling in the state capital as the third and largest of four casinos approved by voters.

The $400 million project is scheduled to open in early October. Organizers say the carpet is installed in some areas and a few of the 3,000 slot machines are in place, but other areas are still largely under construction.

They have started hiring about 2,000 employees for the 475,000-square-foot facility, which includes several restaurants and spaces for hosting events. It will offer 70 games, including 30 live poker tables, blackjack and roulette.

Developers estimate the casino will draw 3 million visitors a year.

Casinos already have opened in Cleveland and Toledo. The fourth is being built in Cincinnati.
