STARKEY, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities have released the names of the New York teenager and 61-year-old Ohio man who died when their vehicles collided on a Finger Lakes road earlier this week. The Yates County Sheriff's Office says 16-year-old Patrick Parrish of Ionia in neighboring Ontario County was trying to pass a car on two-lane Route 14 around 5 p.m. Wednesday when he collided head-on with another vehicle in the town of Starkey, on Seneca Lake's eastern shore 55 miles southeast of Rochester. Deputies say the other car was driven by Mark Wisniewski of Toledo, Ohio. Parrish died at the scene. Wisniewski was taken to Robert Packard Hospital in Sayre, Pa., where he was pronounced dead. A 58-year-old Toledo woman riding in Wisniewski's car was treated at a hospital for minor injuries. Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. |
