GEORGETOWN, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say they're testing items found at the scene of the shooting death of a young Ohio mother whose unborn child also died.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office in southern Ohio has made no arrests in the Aug. 28 killing of 22-year-old Brittany Stykes and her unborn baby.

Stykes' 14-month-old daughter, Aubree, is recovering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Brown County Sheriff Dwayne Wenninger said Thursday the motive "is still up in the air."

Stykes and Aubree were found in Stykes' car after authorities got a call about a vehicle off-road along U.S. Route 68 in Ripley, about 45 miles southeast of Cincinnati. They thought they were responding to a car crash.

Stykes was five months pregnant. She and the baby were buried Wednesday.
