CINCINNATI (AP) — Cincinnati police say a man who was shot seven times in a gun battle with another man in an apartment building is expected to survive.
Lt. Michael Savard tells The Cincinnati Enquirer (http://cin.ci/15Frhsu ) that the man was hospitalized after being shot "all over his body," including his chest, but was stabilized and should live.
The shootout happened Tuesday night in the Avondale neighborhood when one of the men came to the apartment building looking for the other one. Both had guns, and they exchanged at least a dozen shots in a hallway.
The other man was shot in the leg and also taken to a hospital.
Their names were not released. Police don't know exactly what led to the confrontation.
