WAYNESVILLE, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a man died after a skydiving accident in southwest Ohio.

Warren County Sheriff's Lt. Michael Highley says the accident occurred around 7 p.m. Sunday in Wayne Township near Waynesville.

Highley would not release additional details on the accident pending the investigation by the sheriff's office and an autopsy by the Montgomery County coroner's office.

Sheriff's Lt. Chris Miller confirmed Monday night that the victim was a man, but declined to release his name or any other details. The coroner's office also would not release any information.

The sheriff's office did say the man died at a hospital where he was taken after the accident.

Waynesville is about 40 miles northeast of Cincinnati.
