Funeral services for Ohio military contractor

EATON, Ohio (AP) — Funeral services have been held for a southwest Ohio man killed in Afghanistan while working as a military contractor training Afghan police.

Forty-two-year-old Kurt Muncy of Eaton was working with coalition troops when he was killed July 2. His funeral was Saturday in his hometown.

Muncy was killed while working at a Kabul base that housed military contractors. The base was attacked by Taliban suicide bombers who detonated explosives.

According to the Dayton Daily News (bit.ly/18KrM9Z), Muncy was a former Preble County sheriff's officer and Eaton police officer.
