FOP meets this week in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI (AP) — The Fraternal Order of Police national conference officially gets underway in Cincinnati with opening ceremonies Monday.

The police organization that claims some 325,000 members among law enforcement officers is meeting at the downtown convention center. Some 4,000 participants are expected for the conference that runs through Thursday.

Among planned speakers is U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. Ohio Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown and Republican Rep. Steve Chabot  are also expected to attend.
