Flooding blocks numerous low-lying Ohio roadways

CLEVELAND (AP) — Heavy weekend rains have left numerouslow-lying roads and highways blocked
across Ohio, with flood-proneFindlay among the hardest hit.The state says some of the otherhardest-hit
highways are located in Sandusky, Seneca and Wood countiesin rain-drenched northwest Ohio.In Findlay
located 47 miles south of Toledo, the Blanchard River has risen 12 feet since Friday to major
flood-stage levels.Three more feet of flooding would cut the city in two. The river crest forecast for
Monday could be close to that level.The river has flooded four times since 2007 in
Findlay.Innorth-central Ohio, the weather service said the Scioto (sy-OH’-tuh)River had reached 14 feet
near LaRue, 3 feet above flood stage, and wasforecast to crest about 15 feet by Monday morning.Copyright
