YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — The FBI says 11 adults have been arrested on gang-related charges including drug and weapons counts in northeast Ohio
The FBI-sponsored Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force said Monday that 11 of 13 people indicted by a county grand jury were arrested and authorities were seeking the other two. An FBI release says three others were charged through juvenile court for alleged participation in the Vic Boys street gang.
The FBI says the grand jury returned a 48-count indictment involving the Youngstown-area gang. Authorities say the gang was involved in drug trafficking and gun violence on the city's east side.
Charges include trafficking of drugs such as heroin, cocaine and marijuana, possession of cocaine and participating in a criminal gang.
The task force involves state, local and federal authorities.
