TROY, Ohio (AP) — Firefighters treated at least 50 people at a southwestern Ohio music festival for dehydration, exhaustion and related illnesses.
Safety officials in Troy, north of Dayton, blamed the heat and humidity on Friday and music lovers "simply overdoing it."
The Dayton Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/17u0ssy) that safety officials recommend that people going to the Gentlemen of the Road music festival the rest of the weekend drink plenty of water in between alcohol of they decide to imbibe.
Still, they know that more people will overdo it at the festival with continued high temperatures and humidity over the weekend.
Among those performing at the music festival are Mumford & Sons and the Yacht Club DJs.
