AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Ohio authorities searching for a 12-year-old who disappeared in a rain-swollen creek have found a body believed to be his.

Akron police said Sunday the body is believed to be that of Nicholas Shaffer. The body was found Sunday morning in Mud Brook.

The boy went missing Thursday after falling off a wall and into the creek while sitting with his mother.
