Credit cards hacked at Lansing parking structure

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — The owner of a Lansing parking
structure says someone has hacked into the records of some of his credit
card customers.
Shawn Elliott is an owner of the five-story Grand Avenue parking in Michigan’s capital. He tells the
Lansing State Journal (http://on.lsj.com/1jiHeeI ) that he shut down
the parking structure’s credit card processing
system Friday after a customer told him her bank notified her someone
was trying to use her card in New Jersey.
Elliott says the problem
was traced to the parking structure because a friend of the woman who
also parked there had a similar recent problem with credit card fraud.
Elliott says 20 or more patrons may have been affected.
He says anyone who has used a credit card at his structure within 45 days to replace it.
