HENRIETTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say a motor home fire at a campground in southern Michigan left five people with burns.
The Jackson Citizen Patriot reports (http://bit.ly/18IHVtR ) the fire broke out Sunday evening at Pleasant Lake County Campground, northeast of Jackson.
Henrietta Township fire Chief Richard Wetmore says three of the injured were taken from the scene by ambulance and two were flown by helicopter to an Ann Arbor hospital. Wetmore says the two taken to the hospital by air were in serious condition.
Wetmore says one of the injured told him someone attempted to light a stove inside the motor home and there was an explosion, sparking the fire.
Names of those involved weren't immediately released. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
