EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A new East Lansing bar is looking to make a splash on its opening day.

HopCat plans to try to set a record by having the most brews on tap at one bar from a single brewery.

It's teaming with Short's Brewing Co. of Bellaire to have 100 different Short's beers on tap when the restaurant and bar makes its debut on Thursday. The previous record number of beers was in the 70s and was set last year in California.

Short's offerings Thursday are to include "Lil Wheezy," ''Stray Cat Street Fighting," ''Yer My Boy Blue" and "MMMKAY."

HopCat's flagship location is in Grand Rapids.
