Willie David Hobson Jr.
Willie David Hobson Jr., 87, of West Truman, died Saturday January 11, 2014 at Bowling Green Manor.
He was born February 22, 1926, to Willie David and Anna (Compton) Hobson Sr. He married Virginia Louise Whitson on July 31, 1948. She preceded him in death in 2001.
Surviving are five sons, Johnnie David, Northwood; Carl, Plantation, FL; Robert, Tavernier, FL; and Charles and Jimmie, both of Bowling Green; three daughters, Judy Roth, McClure; June Kosmider, Waterville; and Lisa Mantel, Portage; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
He is survived by one brother, James Emmit.
Mr. Hobson was retired from Allied Chemical of Toledo.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at DUNN FUNERAL HOME, located in Bowling Green's Historical District at 408 W. Wooster St. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
