William L. "Bill" Carles, 87, of North Baltimore, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014.
He was born March 11, 1926, to the late Oliver Freeman and Hazel (Campbell) Carles.
Bill retired from the DS Brown Company, where he worked for 42 years.
He loved hunting and raising animals.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy (Daniels), to whom he was married 36 years; son, William R.
"Gus" of North Baltimore; son, William L. "Billy" of Lima; daughter, Becky Saltus of
Ft. Dodge, IA; daughter, Regina Wright of Milton Center, OH; daughter, Crystal Carles of Brunswick, OH;
brother, Richard of Findlay; sister, Ruth Lopez of North Baltimore; brother, James of North Baltimore;
18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his baby brother, Jerry; his son, Derald "Butch"; and his
grandson, Derald Jr. "Butchie." He was also preceded in death by his beloved previous wife,
Betty (Mills).
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME,
515 N. Main St., North Baltimore, OH 45872, where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday,
February 5, 2014.
Pastor Roy "Ed" Newlon will officiate and burial will follow in New Maplewood Cemetery, North
Baltimore.
