William J. "Bill" Kepling I, 62, of Weston, Ohio, passed away on December 24, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on January 18, 1951 to Alberta (Miller) Kepling and the late Joseph Cecil Kepling.
Besides his father he is also preceded in death by his son, William J. Kepling II, and his beloved companions Midget and Char.
Bill is survived by Son: Gary (Kay) Kepling and Daughters: Dawn Schall, Denise Schall, Danielle (Phil) Heinze, Amy (Jeff) Kepling, Amanda (Arrik) Garcia; Daughter-in-Law: Vicki Hooper-Kepling; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Siblings: Joann (Asa) Ottinger, Jim (Linda) Kepling, Bob (Sue) Kepling, Tom Kepling, Gene (Doreen) Kepling, Deb (Gary) Gamby.
Bill graduated from Otsego High School.
He retired from Johns Manville of Waterville, Ohio, after 37 years of service.
He was an avid sportsman with the love of fishing, hunting, turtling, frogging and love of billiards.
His memberships included the Grand Rapids Sportsman Club, Alva N. Sidle American Legion Post, and the National Rifle Association.
Visitation will be held at the Wright-Habegger Funeral Home, 24084 West 2nd Street, Grand Rapids, Ohio from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013.
There will be a private burial at a later date.
Memorial contributions will be to the National Kidney Foundation or the donor's choice.
