William-Wenner-obitWilliam H. Wenner, 74, of Bowling Green, formerly of Weston, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012.
William was born in Deshler, Ohio to the late Albert and Lula Mae ( Bowen) Wenner. He married Patricia Gunn on November 10, 1961 in the Zion United Methodist Church, Wauseon and she survives in Bowling Green.
Also surviving are his children: Deborah (Robert) Madden of Waukesha, Wisconsin, David (Rebecca) Wenner of Cygnet, Ohio and Daniel (Heidi) Wenner of Sterling Heights, Michigan; 8 grandchildren and 1 great- granddaughter on the way.
He was preceded in death by his brother Carl Wenner and a sister Thelma Sapp.
William was employed with the Dana Corporation and Brush Wellman. He also was a part time farmer. He was a graduate of Weston High School.
William was a member of the Weston United Methodist Church and the Wood County Senior Citizen Center, where he volunteered with pre-washing the dishes.
He enjoyed bowling, fishing and camping through out the United States. William was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes Fan where he enjoyed watching the Big Ten Network and having his annual Ohio State Michigan Party.
William was a family man, he taught his family that family should be your number one priority and according to his family he was "man of few words but lead by example." William overcame many obstacles but was always there when some one needed him.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. in the LOOMIS-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME 20375 E. Taylor Street, PO Box 212, Weston, OH 43569 Tele: 419/669-0504. William's Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with burial to follow in the Weston Cemetery.
Contributions may be gifted in William's honor to the National M.S Society, P.O BOX 4527, New York, NY 10163 ,to the church ,the Wood County Senior Citizen Center, 305 N. Main St., Bowling Green, OH 43402 or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donors Society, P.O Box4072, Pittsfield MA, 01202.

Pat, David, Daniel, and Deb...
Bill...or Billy, as we always called him...was a kind and generous man, a great dad and a loving husband. I have many fond childhood memories of him on the family farm in Weston. I pray that you will hold one another tight and cherish all of your memories, too. God's peace.....
