William Claire Dieter passed away on Friday (July 6, 2012) following an extended illness. He was born on June 24, 1925 in Wayne, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents Perry and May Dieter; wife of 67 years, Virginia Mae (Rochte) Dieter; sister, Martha Gerhardstein; half-sisters, Caroline Kiser, Pauline Wagner; brother, Fred Dieter; half-brothers, Oral Dieter, Otto Dieter, Elmer Dieter and John Dieter. He is survived by their three children; daughter, Nancy Williams of Winston Salem, NC; son and daughter-in-law, James and Sandy Dieter of Ashville, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Arthur and Deborah Villarreal of Ozark, AL; sisters, Ethel Swaisgood of Findlay, OH and Mary Foster of Bowling Green, OH; five grandchildren, Art Villarreal of Dothan, AL; William Eugene Dieter of Austin, TX; Lynn Ann and husband Nelson Cabrera of Winston Salem, NC; James and wife Rya Dieter of Louisville, KY; Andrew and wife Katie Villarreal of Crestview, FL; four great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Brooke Cabrera, Logan & Carpenter Villarreal; and many nieces and nephews. He served in the Army Air Corp and was the former owner of Dieter Trucking of Risingsun, Ohio. He will be missed by his family and friends. Friends will be received from 4-6 PM Monday (July 9, 2012) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, OH. A celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday (July 10, 2012) at the First Church of God in Risingsun, OH with Pastor Paul Rutledge officiating.
