William "Bill" Christen, age 53, of Toledo, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at his residence.
He was born on September 2, 1960 in Bowling Green, OH to Arnold and Alice (Schmeltz) Christen. In 1979 Bill graduated from Rossford High School and Penta County Vocational School.
He was employed by Ben's Truck Parts, Toledo as a parts manager and for Mid-Wood Inc., Bowling Green as an agronomist.
His memberships included: Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dowling, avid AA member and Northwest Ohio Tractor Pullers Association. In his spare time he enjoyed tractor pulling with his Oliver tractor and farming.
Surviving Bill is his sisters: Cindy Patterson of Perrysburg, Judith (Lawerence) Pihlman of AZ, Uncle Herman and Aunt Eileen Aufdencamp of Perrysburg, nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Pamela Christen and brother: Robert Christen.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 2, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. from the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH, with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas Zulick. Interment will be in New Belleville Ridge Cemetery, Dowling, OH.
