Wilfred "Bill" W. Heermeier, age 89, of Pemberville, OH, passed away on April 3, 2013 in Queenstown, MD.
On October 22, 1923 he was born to William and Amanda (Wagner) Heermeier in Pemberville, OH. He married Norma Snyder on January 13, 1945 in Alabama and she preceded him in death on September 12, 2012.
Bill was a dairy farmer and a member of the Brown Swiss Cattle Breeders Association.
His other memberships included: St. Paul's Lutheran Church, New Rochester, OH, where he was past Elder and Trustee, NFO, NRA and Pemberville American Legion Freedom Post #183.
He served his country proudly during WWII in the 11th Airborne Division 188th Parachute Infantry and was honorably discharged from the Army as a Sergeant in 1946.
Bill is survived by his children: Darla (C.W. William) Gessford of Greensboro, MD, Charles "Chuck" Heermeier of Oak Harbor, OH, Barbara Ann (Ronald) Norvell of Boerne, TX, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma; brothers: Marcus and Marcius and sister: Ruth Kohring.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, New Rochester, OH, with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Dale Schaefer. Interment will be in Fish Cemetery, Pemberville, OH.
There will be a bereavement luncheon served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services.
