Wayne Smith, drummer extraordinaire, is now beating rhythm in the next dimension.
Wayne was born on December 29, 1951 to Jack and Gladys Smith in South Bend, Indiana, and left us to start up his new band on October 30, 2013.
Wayne passed away peacefully at the Hospice Center of Northwest Ohio with drumsticks in hand.
Wayne and his family were owners of Rapid Printing which closed last year after nearly 40 years in downtown BG.
He is survived and sadly missed by his mother Gladys, his sisters and his brother, numerous nieces and nephews, his close friends, and past band members.
A gathering in Wayne's honor will held Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 11 until 1, at DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
To celebrate Wayne's love of animals, memorial donations may be made to the Wood County Humane Society.
