Walter H. Ferrell, 67, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Thursday July 3, 2014 in Bowling Green. He was
born July 31, 1946 to Walter and Louise (Stanger) Ferrell in Woodbury, New Jersey. He married Kathleen
Price on January 30, 1971 and she survives in Bowling Green.
Walt graduated from Rutgers University in 1973 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture. He
owned his own landscaping company, Lawn Specialist which he operated for many years in Bowling Green. He
was co-owner of
two well known Bowling Green restaurants SamB’s and Beckett’s.
Walt was on the Bowling Green Tree Commission for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, landscape
design, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Football fan.
Walt’s greatest joy in life came from spending time with his 3 grandchildren, Lucy, Tucker and Gavin and
family vacations in Sea Isle City, New Jersey.
Along with his wife of 43 years, Kathleen, he is survived by his children Todd (Carrie) Ferrell, Kacee
(Rob) Ferrell-Snyder
and Kevin Ferrell all of Bowling Green, grandchildren Lucy Ferrell, Tucker Snyder and Gavin Snyder,
brother Jim (Kathy) Ferrell of Bowling Green and sister Ferne (Sam) DeSimone of Clarksboro, New Jersey.

Public visitation will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm at DUNN FUNERAL HOME, located in
the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster Street. Funeral services will be private.
