Virginia E. (Northrup) King went to her heavenly home on March 18, 2014 after a month stay at Bridge
Hospice in Bowling Green.
Virginia was born February 26, 1926 to Henry and Florence Northrup, in North Baltimore, Ohio. She was
raised by her maternal grandparents John and Bertha Dulaney and married the love of her life William
(Bill) King April 2, 1946 in Bowling Green, OH.
She lived in the area all her life except from 1980 to 1994 when she lived in Ocala, Florida.
She worked in the lab at Libby Owens Rossford Plant during WWII. She also worked for 15 years in the
kitchen at Community Nursing Home (now BG Care Center).
Surviving is her husband Bill; daughter, Beverly Gonzales, McClure, OH; one grandson, Jeffery William
(Rosa) of Bryan, OH; three great-grandchildren, Allison Marie, Emmanuel and Israel; a foster son, Joe
Hagemeyer (Trina) of Hoytville; and a family friend, Tussy.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Portage Arbor of Gleaners, she enjoyed sewing,
music, cooking, camping, traveling, reading, the computer and most of all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and a sister.
A Celebration of Life service will be on Friday, March 21, 2014 beginning at 11 a.m. at the DUNN FUNERAL
HOME, located in Bowling Green’s Historical District at 408 W. Wooster St. Rev. Eric McGlade will
officiate.
Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Virginia will be missed very much by her family and friends.
