Virginia E. Coss, 92, formerly of Cygnet, OH, passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
She was born on October 11, 1920 in North Baltimore, OH, to the late Franklin "Dean" and Lillian (Shroll) Snyder. She married Austin B. Coss on January 8, 1943 and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1988.
She is survived by two children: Judy Haywood of Blacklick, OH, and Tom (Lori) Coss of Fostoria; two grandsons: Jim and Steve (Tammy); three great-granddaughters: Megen, Bailee and Katelyn; and a sister, Jeri Carnicom of Cygnet.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Joe and a sister, Helen Boggs.
Virginia graduated from Stautzenberger College in Toledo and was a bookkeeper for over 50 years at various businesses in Bowling Green.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Cygnet.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore. Private services will be held with burial in Jerry City Cemetery. Pastor Dean Durant will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Northwestern Ohio in her memory.
