Walerius-V-obitVirginia A. Walerius, age 93, of Whitehouse, Ohio, passed away June 18, 2013.
She was born December 14, 1919 to the late William and Inez Heller. She married Albert Walerius on May 28, 1939. He preceded her in death June 22, 1988.
Virginia was a member of Neapolis Church of Christ, Royal Neighbors of America, Order of Eastern Star-Triune Chapter, and Alva N. Sidle Auxiliary-Grand Rapids, OH.
She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and baking. She was a wonderful cook and she enjoyed sharing her homemade pies, cookies, and noodles with everyone. She enjoyed sharing her cooking skills with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter: Janet (Harmon) Benschoter of Grand Rapids, OH; son: Kenneth (Cynthia) of Vanlue, OH; brother: Warren Heller; sister: Margy Sims; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter: Rebecca Walerius; and grandson: Andrew Walerius.
Friends and family will be received at the Wright-Habegger Funeral Home, 24084 West 2nd St., Grand Rapids OH, 43522, on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Neapolis Church of Christ, 8221 Main St., Neapolis, OH 43547 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Terry Spiess officiating. Burial will follow service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Virginia's honor may be made to Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio, Neapolis E.M.S., or Neapolis Church of Christ.
