Verna B. Brown, age 84, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2012.The daughter of Elmer and Naomi Gibbs, she was born June 17, 1928 in Toledo. She was a graduate of Haskins High School. She married Lowell W. Brown on June 6, 1947 in Haskins, OH. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2012. Verna worked for Randsom & Rudolph. She enjoyed word puzzles and loved her candy. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Ortloff of Bowling Green, OH, Cathleen Moore of Knoxville, TN; five grandchildren, Brian Moore of Knoxville, TN, Chad Clayton of Irvine, CA, Brad Clayton of North Baltimore, OH, Chris Clayton of Tiffin, OH, Mina Clayton of Easley, SC; six great grandchildren; twin sister, Donna Schadenfroh; sister, Joan Zink; brothers Thomas Gibbs and Gordon Gibbs. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Jeff Moore, and sister, Ruth Haney. There is no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Considerations for memorial contributions may be to Odyssey Hospice, 1745 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee, OH 43537.
