Valerie Susan Bennett, 15, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away suddenly on June 17, 2014 at her home.
She was born on January 24, 1999 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Cartho M. Bennett II, and Kimberly S.
(Bockbrader) Bennett.
Valerie was a student at Perrysburg High School. She has been a part of Perrysburg Travel Softball since
she was 7, also played for Perrysburg High School and this summer the Gladiators. Valerie also enjoyed
drag racing and racing her car since she was 8. She loved to spend time just hanging out with her
friends, family and pets, especially, Sylvester the cat.
Valerie is survived by her loving family: parents, Cartho and Kim Bennett; brother, Brandon Bennett;
grandparents, James and Arlene Bockbrader; aunts and uncles, Patty Atkins, Gale Anderson, Billie Walls,
Tim and Nettie Bockbrader and Mike and Kathy Bockbrader and many cousins.
She is preceded by her maternal grandmother, Sondra (Kurfis) Bockbrader; paternal grandparents, Cartho
and Betty Bennett; uncle, Don Anderson; and great-grandparents, Gilbert and Ruth Bockbrader and Edward
and Lucille Kurfis.
Friends will be received on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 2 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 22 from 12 noon to
1 p.m. in Grace Church, 601 East Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551, where funeral services will be
held on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Burial will follow at New Belleville Ridge Cemetery.
