Thomas Fortney, 62, of Rudolph passed away Thursday July 24, 2014.
Thomas was born in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Evelyn (Poole) Fortney.
Thomas is survived by his children: Julie (Tony) Mason of Liberty Center, Michelle (Shad) Euler of
Bowling Green, Jennifer (Dennis) Trumbull of Portage and Timothy Fortney of Bowling Green;
grandchildren: Trent Konrad, Alexander Hartman, Payton Kepling, Hailey,Fisher, Hunter Trumbull, Paige
Mason, P. Ruger and River Trumbull, Emily, Elizabeth and Elliana Whitman; his companion of 20 years
Leslie Robinette; siblings: Judy Robinett of Washington, JoAnn Bergman of Custar, Dan Fortney of
Perrysburg, Pam Jasmin of Findlay and Terry Fortney of Washington.
He was preceded in death by his brother Larry Jr.
Thomas enjoyed watching NASCAR and cheering on his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt. Thomas was a
“perfectionist” who was very family oriented. He loved working on projects with his children and
grandchildren, whether it was Pinewood derby cars, 4-H projects or building forts, the time he spent his
family was of the upmost importance.
A Celebration of Life Service in Thomas’ honor will be held on Tuesday July 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the
DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio
43402, where visitation will be beginning at 1 p.m.
Memorial Contributions in Thomas’ honor can be made to the Bridge Hospice, 1069 Klotz Rd., Bowling Green,
Ohio 43402.
