Terry Lee Bookenberger Jr., 37, of Healy, Alaska, and formerly of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in Healy, on Sept. 24, 2013.
He graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1994.
Terry lived an adventurous life, traveling around the country and doing things most people only dream of. In 2008, he married Cassandra (Diaz), in Alaska. Together they built a home and started a family.
He loved hunting, fishing, the great outdoors, music, dancing, making those around him smile, and his wife and unborn baby.
Terry is survived by his wife, Cassie and their unborn child, of Healy; parents, Terry and Lindy (Bayer) Bookenberger; brother, Jamie Bookenberger, all of Perrysburg, as well as three grandparents, Don Bookenberger of Maumee, and Jim and Betty DuPre of Point Place, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends around the country.
Graveside services with military honors were held Oct. 2, 2013, at Mt. Healy Cemetery with a reception following at the Healy Community Center.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 200 W. Second St., Perrysburg, Ohio, on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Immediately following will be a dinner and fellowship at Schaller Memorial Hall, E. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Charter One Bank, Perrysburg, to be used for a memorial for Terry and his unborn baby to be placed in a local park.
