Susan E. Coker, 68, died Thursday at Wood Haven Health Care in Bowling Green, OH.
She was surrounded by family and friends.
She was born April 14, 1944 to George and Vera Roe, Weston. Vera survives.
Sue was a 1962 graduate of Otsego High School and a 1965 graduate of Mercy School of Nursing. She has two children, Mark (Donna) Coker of Highlands Ranch, CO and Mandy (Tony) Eiland of Arkansas, and children of the heart Mike and Alicia Sands, Bowling Green.
Sue has four grandchildren, Lauren, Kelsey, Benjamin and William. They survive. Also surviving are four siblings, Ruth (Bob) Snyder, Weston; Bill (Joyce) Roe, Bowling Green; Jim (Robin) Roe, Bowling Green; and Debbie (Eric) Vollmar, Weston.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Roe Jr.
Sue spent her life in the care and service of others. Over the course of her 47-year nursing career she touched thousands of lives and trained hundreds of outstanding nurses and nurse's aides. She retired as the Director of Nurses of Wood Haven Health Care on December 31, 2012.
An avid sports fan, Sue loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, the LA Raiders and the LA Lakers.
All services will be held Sunday, February 17, at the Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 18620 Washington Street, Tontogany, OH 43565. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Sunday with funeral services immediately following at 7 p.m. Pastor Henry Siebert, of St. Marks' Lutheran Church, Bowling Green, will officiate.
