Steven S. Garner, 55, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away in his childhood home on Baker Drive in Bowling
Green, Ohio on May 15, 2014.
Born September 11, 1958, the only child to Virginia and Leland Garner.
One of his passions in his earlier years was motor cross racing. One of his accomplishments with racing
was that he finished 8th in the A.M.A National Scrambles Championship held in Marquette, Kansas in
August 1977.
His main profession and passion in life was photo journalism. His images were published by the Associated
Press, U.S. Today, The Rocky Mountain News, The Columbus Dispatch, B.G. News, Fremont News Messenger,
Port Clinton News Herald, The Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission, News Net Magazine and the
Sentinel-Tribune in Bowling Green.
Steven’s hobbies included playing euchre, golf, pool and photography. Steven was also a very talented
artist and his mediums included paints, glass and photography.
One of Steven’s highest accomplishments was graduating from BGSU in 2004 with a Bachelors degree in
photojournalism.
Steven is survived by his daughter, Perrigrine Kay Garner, 27, granddaughters Baylee Kay, 3, Camille Ann,
2 and Delilah Grace, 9 months of Toledo, Ohio. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles.

A celebration of life will be held for Steven and Virginia Garner at a later date. If you would like to
