Stephen Ray Fausnaugh, age 62, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Wood County Hospital.
Steve was born to the late Ray and Evelyn (Woessner) Fausnaugh in Bowling Green, Ohio. He married Susan (Green) Fausnaugh on December 13, 1969 in the Weston Church of Christ and she survives here in Bowling Green.
Steve was a 1967 graduate of Bowling Green High School, where he as an avid athlete in Football, Basketball and Baseball. Steve earned a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry and Math from Bowling Green State University. Steve continued his love of sports participating in Intramural Sports after high school and college.
Steve was a member of Christ's Church in Bowling Green, serving as an elder, treasurer and Praise Worship Leader. He was also a teacher in cell groups, Bible school and Reformer's Unanimous. Steve's hobby was singing and he enjoyed being a member of the Elmwood Community Choir. As a young man, he toured Ohio singing in several gospel quartets, and he loved the old hymns from his childhood.
Steve was a leader in many important Christian ministries, serving various roles in many organizations including treasurer of the Gideons International-Wood County Camp, former board member of the Active Christians Today - BGSU, and former Kiwanis member.
Steve is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan, two sons: Andrew S. (Emily) Fausnaugh of Fremont, Ohio; Timothy (Liesel) Fausnaugh of Loveland, Ohio; two daughters: Stephanie Fausnaugh of Bowling Green, Ohio; Jessica (Ted) Troyer of Pemberville, Ohio; two grandsons: Zach and Alex; one brother: Terry (Joy) Fausnaugh and one sister: Linda (Lee) Holloway. Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and Friends will be received on Monday February 6, 2012, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 West Wooster Street, PO Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171. Additional visitation will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at Christ's Church, 14455 Campbell Hill Road, Bowling Green, Ohio with burial to follow in the Wingston Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be gifted in Steve's honor to the church or to the Gideon's International.

I loved Steve's singing. I enjoyed him as my Sunday school teacher. He encouraged me to study my bible. He was a very respected man. I can remember when he was singing one time. He accidentally swallowed a fly. I love you all. Sue,Andy, Tim, Steph and Jessica. Keep you in my prayers.

Steve will be missed here on earth, but we will see him again in Heaven. I enjoyed serving with him on the ACT board for many years. He was a great guy.

Steve was a wonderful Christian friend that I always admired. His faithfulness and witness to everyone was a great example for all of us remember. Every rememberance I have of him was a man who was true to his God, his family and a caring person to everyone he met. We were blessed to have known him. Our prayere go out to his family and friends.
