Stanley "Stan" Irvin, 61, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013.
Stan was born in Bowling Green, to the late Lyle and Donna (Lee) Irvin. Stan is survived by the love of his life of 16 years, Kathy Henry and she survives in Bowling Green, Ohio. Along with Kathy, Stan is survived by his daughters: Jean Anne Armstrong, of Louisiana; Stacy Irvin, of Weston, Ohio; Hope (Tom) Hannah, of Ada, Ohio; Holly Irvin, of Wayne, Ohio; Jamie Hagemann, of Cygnet, Ohio; sons: Shane (Colleen) Irvin, of Bowling Green, Ohio; Chip Smith, of Custar, Ohio; a sister: Sandra Lane, of Continental, Ohio and 16 grandchildren. Along with his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his brother Charles Irvin and one granddaughter.
Stan was a 1969 graduate of Bowling Green High School. While in high school, Stan was the lead drummer in the Chapter 5 Band. Stan's love of music and the drums led him to become a member of several bands over the years as the lead drummer. Stan was the drummer for the band Fred; Transitions and Kickin Kuntry among many others.
Stan worked as a contractor for over 45 years. His love of carpentry and his detail to the finishing work in numerous homes and businesses in the area involved the rebuilding of Al-Mar Lanes after the fire and his detail to the finish work in to the bar and shelving in CJ's located inside Al-Mar Lanes. Stan dearly loved his music, drumming and carpentry work, but most of all, Stan loved spending time with his family and friends.
The Family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Dawley and the entire staff at Bridge Hospice of Bowling green, for their compassion, support and dedication in the care of Stan.
A Celebration of Stan's Life will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 6:00 pm with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY REMEMBRANCE CHAPEL, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, Tele: 419-352-2171.
