Sharon Rae Friedman was born in Cleveland on January 22, 1947 and died in Seattle, Wash., on June 18, 2013.
She was married for 37 years to Lawrence Friedman, a history professor who survives her. Beth Friedman Darner is her daughter and works as a Child Family Director for a community mental health agency.
Sharon had a special affinity for her young grandson, Zachary.
Sharon taught at South Main Elementary School in Bowling Green, Ohio many years.
Sharon will be missed by friend, family and many former students.
Memorials may be made to the local humane society or public library.
