Ruth Deidrick, 85, of Grand Rapids, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013.Ruth was born in
Findlay, Ohio, to the late Emmett and Cleo Opp-Baxter. Besides her parents she is also preceded by six
brothers and one sister.Surviving Ruth is her children: Ken Deidrick Jr, Samuel Deidrick, and Mary Kathryn
(Thomas) Hall. She has six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. One brother, Ercil Eschbaugh.Ruth
graduated from Donnell High School in Findlay, Findlay College, Indiana Wesleyan College of Theology and
Bowling Green School of Nursing.She owned and operated the Sunset Nursing Home in Findlay, Ohio, and taught
at Stautzsenberger Business College.Ruth was also a Boy Scout Troop Leader #327 for many years. She was also
a member of the Grand Rapids Easter Star.Ruth was a vital part of the Grand Rapids community and had a deep
appreciation for the well-being of the community. She spent many years nursing and caring for her many
friends of the community.Visitation will be held at Wright-Habegger Funeral Home, 24084 West 2nd Street,
Grand Rapids, Ohio, Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by an Eastern Star Service at
