Janet L. Collins, age 81, of Toledo, Ohio died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Bowling Green Manor in Bowling Green. She was born October 11, 1932 in Toledo, to the late Floyd and Edna Metzger. She married Richard L. Collins in October 1951, who preceded her in death. Janet worked at the former Lanes Drug. She then enjoyed most of her retirement with her move to Bear Lake, Michigan. Janet moved back to Toledo for a time, then went to live at Bowling Green Manor for many years. She is survived by daughters Debbie (John) Hafner, BG, Kathy (Rick) Pietrowski, Toledo, brother Richard (Judy) Metzger, Toledo; granddaughter Marisha Pietrowski; great-granddaughter Brianna Briner; nephews Chris and Mike Metzger, Toledo. Preceding her in death was her brother Dale Metzger and grandchildren Jennifer K. Briner and Matthew D. Hofner.

James Edward Beard, 76, of Oak Harbor, OH died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Riverview Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor. He was born December 11, 1936 in Grand Rapids, OH, to the late James G. and Dorothy I. (Kohanke) Beard. He was a 1955 graduate of Bowling Green High School. On March 30, 1957 he married the former Madonna R. Adler. Mr. Beard was a Lab Supervisor at the former Brush Wellman Company in Elmore for 42 years, retiring in March of 1999. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Elliston. He also held memberships in the Oak Harbor Lodge #495 F. & A.M., Pheasants Forever, and life member of Riverview Auxiliary. He was the first member of the Bowling Green FFA Chapter to win the State FFA Degree. He bought and sold furs for over 39 years from 1972-2011, coached little league baseball for 12 years and was an Assistant Leader for the Boy Scout Troop 363 in Oak Harbor. He was an avid supporter of the Oak Harbor Rockets, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and The Ohio State University Buckeyes.

Marcella Stein Clingenpeel, 76, formerly of Smithfield, Va., passed away May 23, 2013 at Heartland of Waterville, where she received wonderful care. Marcella was born in Maumee, Ohio to the late Frank and Alice Stein. On April 9, 1969, she married Lowell W. Clingenpeel in Sylvania, Ohio. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2012. She is survived by daughters, Dr. Michele (Matt) Ptaszkiewicz, of Fort Collins, Colo., and Melissa (Alex) Huffman of Smithfield, Va.; five grandchildren, Donovan and Carissa Ptaszkiewicz; Evangeline and Dauvin Wurst; and Hunter Huffman; sister-in-law, Darlene Clingenpeel of Peoria, Ill. Also surviving are brothers, Ed (Doris) Stein of Sarasota, Fla.; Jim (Mary Lue) Stein of Custar, Ohio; Charles (Jeanette) Stein of Custar; sisters, Mary Seifert of Luckey, Ohio; Pat Stein and Betty (Duke) Haas, both of Perrysburg.
